American Axes are hosting the WATL Local Tournament in Arvada, Colorado. There will be a variety of events for axe throwers to enjoy from 8/7-8/9.
Our venue will host tournament matches and we have an assortment of additional events that we would love to host throwers for practice, marathons, cash tournaments and a great time! Come check out our new venue, located just North of Denver and one of the best up and coming neighborhood in Colorado. Minutes from downtown Westminster, our new home offer a variety of food options close by with lots of hotels, shops that all come with one of the best views of the mountains in town.
PRACTICE LANES:
Throwers who participate in at least 2 events, their practice lanes will be allowed 2 hours before for free Friday- Sunday. This would be practice on shared lanes, we will guarantee a minimum of 4 targets available for practice hours and possibly more available depending on customer flow. Our Arvada venue has 12-14 targets, 6/7 lanes in total. Participating in the after party, marathons or tournaments comes at an additional cost.
Friday, 08/7:
12 pm – Registration Opens/Practice lanes available
1 pm – Hatchet Marathon and expecting 10 for marathon. Expectation that marathon will conclude before 5 pm. Using it as a warmup to practice for Saturday.
Saturday, 08/8:
9:45am – Registration Closes
10am – Hatchet Tournament begins. Assumption is 24 overall participants for tournament will conclude by 3pm.
4pm – Duals Marathon begins. Assumption is that there will be 8-10 teams that participate. Expectation that marathon will conclude before 10pm. Using it as a warmup to practice for Sunday.
Sunday, 08/9:
10am – Practice Lanes available/Registration Closes
11 am – Big Axe Tournament. Assumption is 12 throwers in tournament. Tournament will conclude around 2pm.
3 pm – Duals Tournament. Assumption is 8-10 teams. Tournament will conclude around 6pm.
7 pm – After party- Food and soft drinks provided by American Axes. Happy hour pricing at the bar all weekend. $20 ticket
